Welcome to our 1st E-Newsletter
Dear Subscriber,
We often tell our clients to develop e-newsletters as a way to keep in touch with clients and to help build a list of future clients . . . so we thought it time to follow our own advice!
In this first issue of What's Happening!, we showcase a Web redesign project we recently completed for PowerHouse Consulting as well as give you the skinny on adding online demos and tutorials to your Website.
And because we do business with clients across the U.S. - many of whom we've not met - we've also included a peek "behind the curtain" at Sonora DesignWorks. This month tell you how we got started 16 years ago (where did the time go?).
We hope you enjoy the newsletter. If there's anything you'd like to see covered in future issues, drop us a line at cc@sonoradesignworks.com or just hit reply to this email.
Regards,
Jim & Heidi Somers

PowerHouse Consulting Revamps Site
. . . Showcases Expertise
PowerHouse Consulting is an internationally recognized professional consulting firmspecializing in all aspects of Call Centers and Telecommunications. When PowerHouse principals sought a redesign for their aging website, they called Sonora DesignWorks. A 2008 recipient of "Best in Class - Best Consultancy in the Americas" award from ContactCenterWorld.com, PowerHouse wanted its website to more strongly represent the company's position in the marketplace.
Working with the PowerHouse leadership team, Sonora first created a slick user interface design. We then created "updatable" site templates that feature improved navigation and a more current look and feel (to view the site, simply click on the image above). The website now reflects the "simple elegance" that PowerHouse Chief Vision Officer Kathleen Peterson was after. Says Kathleen, "Our brand has matured over the years - Sonora helped us to 'translate'our brand and our story to our new website."
New Technologies
Online Tutorials and Demos Add Punch to Your Site
Have you ever wished you could give your prospects or clients an online tutorial or demo that shows how to use your product or how your service can benefit them?
Now you can with online tutorials and demos from Sonora DesignWorks. Like Webinars and video, you can include narration in your tutorial and edit content just as you would with a movie. (Click on the screen above to view a sample tutorial.)
This technology is very cost-effective - and can save you time as you point your clients to a tutorial versus you spending time on the phone walking them through your software or other issues.
To learn how you can add a tutorial or demo to your site, call Sonora at 978-388-1716.
Meet The Team
How Sonora Got Its Start 16 Years Ago...
It's amazing how many clients we've not met face-to-face. We've had people ask how we got our start . . . and many of you have "grown" with us as we went from one employee (Jim) to six employees currently. To help you get to know us better, we'll highlight one of our team members each month so you can finally see who is "behind the mouse."
This month we're featuring "The Sonora Story" where we tell you a bit about how Jim and Heidi Somers got started and where we are now.

Cross-Browser Compliance
With all the new Internet browser versions coming out, such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 8, FireFox, Safari, and Opera, your Website can look different in each one . . . and sometimes not function correctly. We'll tell you why this happens and how to fix it all!
